La Rue by Nina Ricci

La Rue (As mentioned in last week's Sunday Covet) is the latest handbag from Nina Ricci and is in the style of a bowling bag yet it is so much more sophisticated and gorgeous than a that!! It's been hailed by Yahoo as a "lifetime investment" and I would agree. It's certainly not the type of bag to fizzle out of fashion. Indeed neither is it the type of bag to be cast aside at the end of the season for it is so practical...and beautiful!

La Rue's  beauty is captured perfectly in the campaign photos - a collaboration with Jo Ratcliffe- just take a look...

La Rue is such a multi-tasker it can be small and compact or it can fit in everything you need! Also, it has the choice of a long body strap or just shoulder straps - what could be more practical?!
What's more, each style and colour of the bag creates a different personality and attitude.

My favourite has to be this one...
It's such a soft colour, so feminine, I can just imagine teaming it with flares and a cardi or with spring florals!

Don't worry I won't give up the day job!

But don't just take my word for it, look at these fashionistas go!

Autumn Fashion with Marks and Spencer

Recently here in the UK it has finally been beginning to feel like autumn. There's a distinct chill in the air, rough winds and only the occasional spot of warm sunshine.
I don't really mind that much because for me, although I love getting a tan and wearing pretty summer dresses my heart truly belongs to autumn. I love fireworks night, the build up to my birthday, pangs of excitement for Christmas and new year - it's just a time filled with excitement!

Autumn is a time for long walks, hot chocolate and snuggling up by the fire. The trees are dripping with golden tones before the leaves fall causing each step to produce a satisfying crunch.

Beautiful.

But more than any of the above, it's the arrival of autumn/winter lines in the stores and this year I've been particularly impressed with none other than underwear supplier to the whole of the United Kingdom (am I right?)… Marks and Spencer!

Apologies, I was having far too much fun

I know what you’re going to say:
“This is hardly ground breaking fashion, B”
and I agree. But, two points –
a) I think winter is all about classic style. Summer is the time when we experiment with new fashions, but winter is cold and so we need to be warm and practical, and who does warm and practical better than Marks and Sparks, and
b) isn't one of the reasons we all love M&S that we can always rely on it for classic timeless looks?

However, that would be boring. And to their credit Marks and Spencer do have on trend styles!

So what do you think? I don't know if it's just because I was raised on Marks and Spencer but I think that they are a very trust worthy brand and that even their 'fashionable' clothes carry from one year to the next!

Are you convinced?

Style Crush: Rachel Berry

Glee's Rachel Berry (played by the gorgeous Lea Michele) is today's style crush! Rachel may not be to everyone's taste, she's very bossy, neurotic and fairly annoying but I still think she's great - and even better, I love her wardrobe!

It's very preppy and proper, there are certainly similarities between her's and Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf's wardrobes, except Rachel has a far more down to earth, affordable and thus achievable look!

Think bright and bold, skirts with long socks and colour co-ordination...

I love her style, it's very...efficient. I can imagine that when you dress like Rachel you feel more motivated and you achieve more - kind of like wearing a suit.

What do you think?
