Faux Furtastic

September is almost at an end, where did it go?
Not to worry! This means, in my opinion, that we are officially in Autumn, my favourite season of the year.

I'm not really a summer kinda chick, I'd much rather be cosied up by the fire, going for autumnal walks or drinking hot chocolate!

I like to mirror this cosy vibe in my wardrobe during the colder months and one of the best ways I can think of doing this is adding a trim of faux fur here and there!

Topshop

My favourite boots from New Look a few years back, but still available here

What do you think about faux fur? What elements will you be adding to your wardrobe as the chilly weather descends us?

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Confessions of a Shopaholic is such a fun movie, perfect for a girly night in! It’s a movie adaption of the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella, a fabulous holiday read.

Confessions of a Shopaholic is about Rebecca Bloomwood, a journalist with an obsession for shopping but with huge debts piling up – sound familiar? The storyline isn’t especially iis fairly predictable, but, I love it and sometimes a movie can be great because of the characters and the fashion – which in my opinion this film nails.

There’s so many things I love about I love about Isla’s wardrobe, she mixes textures and isn’t afraid to use in your face colours. In many ways her sense of style reminds me of Carrie Bradshaw, but slightly less well tuned, a younger Carrie.
This is probs due to the fact that the costume designer for both was the legendary Patricia Fields.

Style Crush: Olivia Palermo

Olivia Palermo came to our screens in December 2008 when she starred alongside Whitney Port in MTV’s The City.

This doesn't really do them justice, this looks like a Twilight thang

The City was a spinoff of the hugely popular series The Hills; I spent much of my teenage time watching The Hills – drama drama drama!

The City was based on girls working in the fashion industry in New York City. Olivia worked for Diane von Furstenberg and later for Elle.

Although she often played the bad guy on the show you could not deny her great sense of style and knack for nailing a great outfit.

Despite the end of The City Olivia has remained in the fashion pack, modelling for many campaigns including Mango, Hogan and has even been a guest on Project Runway.

Love this look, will deffs be re-creating!

And if that wasn't evidence enough as to her style, check out this...

Look at the shoes!!...

They're Carrie's!!!!
